Warranty and Service Information on ADDCOM headsets

Two (2) Year Limited Warranty
ADDCOM warrants the end user that this product shall be free from defects in workmanship or material for a period of two years from the date of manufacture.
The warranty is voided by removal of the factory seal or by repair or attempted repair by any party other than ADDCOM or its authorised repair centres. During the warranty period if this product is found to be defective under normal installation, use and service, ADDCOM shall, at its option, repair or replace it with a new or reconditioned product. The customer pays freight in and ADDCOM pays return shipping charge. Parts and labour used in repairing or replacing the product will be warranted by ADDCOM for ninety days from the date the product is repaired or for the remainder of the original warranty period, whichever is longer.
This warranty does not cover defects from misuse, accidents, service by unauthorised technicians, failure to follow instructions, fire, floods and acts of God.
Specifically exempt from warranty are limited life consumable components subject to normal wear and tear such as ear cushions, mic screens and lapel clips etc (see terms and conditions below for complete list).
ADDCOM does not warrant this product to be compatible with any particular telephone equipment.
ADDCOM does not assume responsibility for transportation damage. Claims for damage in shipment must be filed with the carrier and insurance company. If the product is no longer covered by ADDCOM warranty, there will be a charge for its repair if it is deemed repairable by ADDCOM.
This warranty sets forth all of ADDCOM’s responsibilities regarding this product. Repair or replacement at the ADDCOM Repair Department is your exclusive remedy. This warranty is the only one ADDCOM gives on its product. Except as set forth herein, ADDCOM makes no other warranty or condition, express or implied
by statute, common law, trade usage or otherwise including without limitation warranty of fitness for a particular purpose and of merchantability.
In no event, shall ADDCOM be liable for loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the product, or property damage caused by this product or its failure to work or other identical or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
To check the warranty status of your ADDCOM headset please contact ADDCOM or your ADDCOM Partner from whom you purchased the product.
To claim the warranty on the headset, please send the completed Service Request Form to salesau@addcom.com. Your warranty begins from the date you purchased the product. The serial number of your product will be sufficient to confirm your product entitlement to warranty cover.
In the event that your product fails to function when used for the first time (failure on arrival), we recommend you return it to the ADDCOM Partner from whom it was purchased, provided this is within 14 days of the purchase date.

Terms and conditions for repair or replacement of ADDCOM products

Definition: The term “Parts” refers to a standard unit of product. Does not refer to manufacturing parts. For example in the case of headsets a headset is considered a “Part”.
ADDCOM provide a “Parts Only” Guarantee as defined below. In the event of a need for replacement parts, either within or outside the guarantee period, prompt service is available. The following guidelines will ensure early supply of your requirements.

1) LIMITED GUARANTEE

ADDCOM guarantees, that ADDCOM ‘s headset products shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 24 months, from the date of purchase from ADDCOM. During the 24 month period ADDCOM will provide replacement parts without charge for any part found to be defective under normal installation, use and service. All faulty parts must be returned to ADDCOM for credit on new parts. The guarantee, however, does not cover:
a. Items subject to wear and tear with normal usage such as

  • QD cords
  • USB cords
  • Headbands
  • Ear cushions
  • Ear hooks
  • Ear and mic foam and covers
  • Removable batteries (one year warranty)
  • Eartips
  • Earplates
  • Mic filters
  • Plugs and packaging material;

b. Products which have been subject to; misuse, or use in a non-approved manner, or modification without the written consent of ADDCOM , or parallel importation;
c. Damage, which directly or indirectly has been caused by the use of unauthorised replacement parts and/or service performed by unauthorised personnel;
d. Damage resulting from accidents, abuse, incorrect use, incorrect installation, or unauthorised modification; consequential or resulting liability damage; injury or loss whichever way it may arise.

2) SPARE PART REPLACEMENT WITHIN GUARANTEE

a) Orders for the required parts must be emailed to the repair facility of ADDCOM to salesau@addcom.com along with a copy of the purchase order or invoice and the completed Service Request Form.
b) Ordered parts will be invoiced under the trading terms of this agreement and a credit issued by ADDCOM on receipt of the faulty part(s).
c) The faulty parts must be received (with documentation stating the serial number of the item from which they were removed) by ADDCOM , intact carriage-paid before a credit note will be issued. If not previously ordered, the replacement parts will be returned carriage-paid.

3) REPAIR OF PRODUCT OUTSIDE GUARANTEE

Terms and conditions under which products will be accepted for chargeable repair or
replacement by ADDCOM are set out below:
a) This service is only available on certain items. Details of these items and current charges are available from ADDCOM.
b) The product for repair or replacement must be received, carriage-paid, adequately packed and accompanied by the correctly completed Service Request Form, in English. The repaired product will be returned adequately packed at the cost of the customer, and will be accompanied by a copy of the proforma invoice.
c) ADDCOM reserves the right to evaluate whether the extent of damage makes it
undesirable to repair the product. If this is the case the customer will be contacted in
order to approve a special repair or replacement price.
d) ADDCOM reserves the right to charge a reasonable handling fee for returns, which have not been repaired or replaced due to the conditions explained under point c). Any repair or replacement carried out by ADDCOM shall be guaranteed for ninety (90) days, or the remainder of the original guarantee period, whichever is longer, this period to commence on the date the repair is completed.
